Was this spray painted or using brushes? I also wonder how it was done in the factory when they were new.

My great uncle was the pilot of that lancaster back in ww2.

I was at CAMH on Sept 22 1988 for the first flight of (C-G)VRA on September 22 1988. It was a very emotional sight watching Vera lift off ever so gracefully. May we never forget the many young men such as Andrew Mynarski who took off in Lancasters, never to return, in their quest for freedom.

I was just at the Air Force 100 Weekend Event, i got to go on the CH-147 and CC-130J, i even got a photo with one of the CH-147 Flight Engineers, if time travel was possible, i would repeat that day over and over again

I was at CWH on Sept 22 1988 for the first flight of the Lancaster. It was an incredible feeling seeing this big bird take so gracefully to the skies, one I will never forget.

I was at CWH on Sept 24 1988 for the first flight of the Mynarski Lancaster. There were many people there including many vets, some in WW2 uniforms. It was very emotional to see that big bird take to the skies ever so gently. May we never forget those who gave their all so that we could live in freedom.

I was at CWH on September 11, 1988 for the Lancaster's first flight. It was magnificent - we still have the poster they were selling. It's hard to believe anything so big can be so graceful in the air. She is a fitting memorial to the young men such as Andrew Mynarski who took off in the cause of freedom and never returned.

Love the Firefly! I remember seeing the CWHM's first BD H at Hamilton and CNE airshows in the 70's. So glad they found another as BD G for their flagship.

There are more than 2 working Lancasters in the world but only 2 that are airworthy.

Heard it(couldn't see it) today in Waterloo on it's way to Goderich.

It flew right over my house😂 I was tracking the whole flight, I live about 10 minutes from the museum
